How much worth is Nord?

OnePlus has announced its budget smartphone a month ago and confirmed the model OnePlus Nord. And Nord has launched on 21st July 2020 at 8.30 PM.

Is it worth to buy OnePlus Nord?

First of all we will see the specifications of Nord.

Nord is made of Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back in which the sides are made up of Plastic. It has a beautiful design and comes in two colour options.

Display 

Nord comes with a 6.44 inch FHD+ Fluid Amoled display with an refresh rate of 90 Hz. As it comes with a Amoled display, it also sports an In Display Fingerprint sensor.

       

Cameras

Next to Display, we see about Cameras. It has a Quad Camera setup located at the left of the back. The Primary Camera is 48MP Sony's IMX 586 and there is a 8MP Wide Angle Camera which has 119⁰ Field of View and 5MP Camera for Depth also an 2MP camera for Macro Photography.

It also has dual punchole in the front and it has an 32MP Sony IMX 616 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide for selfies.

Front camera can shoot upto 4K at 60fps.  While the Back camera can shoot 4K videos at 30fps. 

Processor

Now let's see the Processor. It comes with the Snapdragon's premium midranger SD765G. It can do all the tasks and gaming too. The chip has also support for 5G connectivity. It can play PUBG at HD graphics and High frame rate. To support all of these it sports a 6/8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Battery

For all of these Nord comes with an 4115mah battery and has support for Warp Charge 30T ( 0-70% in 30 minutes). The charger comes within the box.

Software

Nord comes with Android 10 and Oxygen OS version 10.5 on top of it. It is fast and bug free. We will expect software updates for atleast 3 years from OnePlus.

Miscellaneous

Now we will see the additional things that are present in OnePlus Nord. It has an alert slider located above the power button on right and volume rockers on left. It has Type C port, speaker and an dual sim tray at the bottom. It doesn't have any Micro SD Card slot for memory expansion.

Here is the market strategy of OnePlus reveals. The base variant available for ₹24,999 is out of stock until September. It will be available after September month in Amazon.

Competition

In this price segment there are many options available probably flagships like Redmi K20 Pro, Realme X3 and Azus 6Z. These smartphones have more powerful processors like SD855, SD855+.

If you need an OnePlus phone in this price and seemless experience of Oxygen OS, you can consider this phone. Otherwise If you will focus performance, you can choose other android smartphone from brands like Redmi, Realme,etc.
